Miltonduff Distillery, established in 1824 shortly after the Excise Act of 1823, is a Speyside single malt whisky distillery located near Elgin, Scotland. Originally an illicit operation, it transitioned to legal status under the ownership of Andrew Peary and Robert Bain. The distillery draws its exceptionally pure water from the Black Burn, a tributary of the River Lossie, and utilizes locally renowned barley from the fertile Moray region. Known for its elegant, fruity Speyside character with floral notes and subtle spice, Miltonduff's production primarily supports premium blends, most notably Ballantine's, though limited official bottlings and select independent releases showcase its refined profile. Currently owned by Pernod Ricard through Chivas Brothers, the distillery maintains traditional craftsmanship while operating six copper pot stills.

Wow, this one's a real looker in the glass - a lovely pale gold 🥃. Got a sharp, precise citrus hit on the nose, like a mix of lime zest and lemon peel, all intertwined with this brilliant, softer peat smoke. Almost smells like a walk on the coast. Tastes top notch, honestly. There's a fantastic briney, olivey note that comes through, super clean and sharp. It's just so well put together. The finish is long and satisfying, that coastal salinity and citrus just linger on. Really well-made stuff, excellent. 👍

Pale gold in the glass, first sip hits with a salty brine, sharp but clean. Like olives from a jar, that kind of tangy, olive-y note. There's a lemony edge cutting through, quite brilliant really. A bit of tar and rubber in the background, but not heavy – softer peater smoke, sort of gentle. Keeps it interesting, you know? Ends long and pure, almost rummy-sky. Feels like a Caol Ila of some sort, that coastal vibe. Cheers to that. 🥃😌

Warm and a bit smoky, with a sweet oaky feel 🥃 Quite smooth, wee hint of spice, then a dry cosy finish. Nice for a slow evening.

Blimey, this dram’s a proper treat 😌 Nose is all warm vanilla and a whiff of bonfire toffee, maybe a hint of orchard fruit—like a baked apple with cinnamon. First sip? Rich caramel floods in, then that smoky edge creeps up gentle, not too heavy. Mid-palate goes a bit spicy, clove and black pepper, but smooth with it. Finish lingers with oaky warmth and a touch of dried apricot. Definately one to savour slowly 🥃🔥
