Had a dram the other night that just felt... easy, y’know? Nice body to it, not too heavy. The first thing that hit me was this cinnamon cake vibe – obligatory cinnamon, sure, but not over the top. Vanilla’s there, but not any longer than the others, if that makes sense. Rather appealing. Got a proper amber glow, clean and simple. Apricots and overripe apples danced around, pleasantly fruity without being jammy yet not cloying. There was something almost like sweet corn or maple syrup underneath, but it stayed even fresh, not too sweet. Rather satisfying, actually. Just a little simpler and smoother than some I’ve had, with that rye kick giving it a bit of backbone. Not a bad combo overall 🥃
