Quite a warming one this, isn't it? First sip reminded me straight away of cinnamon sticks and cloves, like the spice drawer in my nan's kitchen. Then comes this lovely, rich honey sweetness, almost like spreading it on a hot slice of gingerbread. 🍞 It's got a medium body, and a little later I get this nice, gentle floral note – maybe beeswax and flowers? Reminds me of a sunny afternoon. There's a flash of something bright and fruity too, a bit like candied orange peel or a touch of pineapple, which is a fun surprise. Finishes with a very fine, spicier kick – a bit of that sour spice and rye bread character, really warming. Quite a complex and enjoyable dram for a chilly evening. 🥃
