Nice nose straight away, a bit of cream oloroso, apple peel and peppered caramel. Then it turns quite dry and prickly, with spicy oak, clove, old walnuts and a wee whiff of coal smoke. Gives me damp moss, mushrooms, pencil shavings and roasted chestnuts too. Bit sour-wine-ish, bit savoury, like umami sauce and orange wine. Medium finish, fairly oaky, but cosy enough 🙂
