Had a dram today that felt rather long on the palate, with an austere start then opening into pleasant honeyed notes and a fruity layer. There's a sweetness underneath, a hint of barley sugar and marzipan, plus a touch of almost a little metallic edge. The aftertaste is very grassy, almost like more wet gravel and flinty, with a tad bitter finish. Lovely for lovers of old style malts will like this – proper old skool vibe, very sexy and easy‑easy 🥃.
