Whiskyspace Notes 1441

Blimey, I was totally floored by that first sip! 😊 The peat hit me like raw smoke and ashes, very kilny. Then, out of nowhere, this lovely lemon curd and white wine vibe came through – almost crystal clear on the palate. I’m thinking of passion fruits and williams pears too, sweet but raw. It’s got this heavy peat thing going on, mezcal-style, but the finish is immaculate, like brilliant lemon zest. Honestly, it’s a no-brainer – just brilliant and naked. 🔥

Honestly, this one just grabs you. First sip, heavy peat hits, like walking through a kilny on a damp day – that smoky, grainy smell is all there. Then suddenly, lemon curd! So creamy and tangy it almost doesn’t make sense next to the smoke. The mouthfeel is crystal clear, strangely light for something so potent, almost like a crisp white wine for a second. But then comes the aftertaste… wow, almost floored me. There’s a mezcal-like smokiness, yes, but also this savoury, oily note – weirdly, it reminds me of sardines on toast? Not bad, just… there. And a finish of soft ashes, like a dying bonfire. Really quite something. Very impressive.

Wow, this one's a no-brainer for a peaty dram. Right from the nose, it's all crystal clear with a kilny, plasticine vibe. 😊 Palate brings heavy peat and raw brine – but then there's this surprising burst of passion fruits and white wine. Williams pears sneak in too, maybe even a hint of oysters. So raw and very impressive. Finish is immaculate and brilliant. Sardines and new tyres? Sounds odd but it just works. Total love. ✨

Just took a sip – wow, the peat hits hard, heavy peat that's raw and kilny, like burning new tyres mixed with ashes. There's a briney kick, reminds me of oysters or sardines fresh from the sea. It's immaculately smooth underneath, with white wine and lemon curd notes popping up. A bit of plasticine in the background, weird but fun. The taste goes raw and naked, with williams pears sneaking in. Very impressive stuff, honestly. 🥃
