Whiskyspace Notes 1412

Right, this one hits you like a wall of smoke first—really heavy, raw peat and ashes. Almost floor you, it's that intense. But underneath there's this sharp, crystal clear lemon note and some lovely passion fruit. It's like seaside smoke and citrus. The aftertaste is wild. Kind of kilny, with a weird but brilliant hint of mezcal and... new tyres? Honestly, weirdly good. A total no-brainer if you love big, naked smoke. 🔥

First sip is like looking through crystal clear water 🥃 There's a salty kick right away - brine and oysters by the seaside, maybe a hint of sardines too. That heavy peat comes through strong, almost like mezcal but with that kilny, slightly industrial thing going on. Reminds me of new tyres in a garage, but not in a bad way? Weirdly works. The finish is all lemon and white wine acidity, then these lovely williams pears come through right at the end. Stripped back, naked kind of whisky really. Nothing hidden.

Just sipping this – heavy peat and brine hit me straight away, like fresh oysters and sardines. There's a raw, kilny vibe, almost like new tyres or plasticine, but it's strangely appealing. Then willows pears and lemon curd pop in, bright and fruity with passion fruits and lemon. The aftertaste? Pure mezcal smoke that almost floored me. Crystal clear and naked in its intensity, it's a no-brainer for bold whisky lovers. Very impressive, immaculate and brilliant! 🥃😊

Just had a dram of this, and it's a proper rollercoaster. The nose is all heavy peat and raw, kilny smokiness – like standing over a bonfire. But then there's this crystal note of lemon and lemon curd that feels immaculate and brilliant. Taste-wise, it's naked and bold. Brine hits you, almost like sardines, and I swear there's a hint of new tyres. Passion fruits sneak in, which is wild. 😮 The aftertaste has that mezcal vibe with ashes and raw peat – almost floored me, honestly. A no-brainer if you dig intense, earthy whiskies. 🥃

First sip... crikey, that's intense. Like sticking your nose into a fresh batch of new tyres at a garage, but somehow not in a bad way? 😂 There's this heavy peat thing going on, proper smoky, reminds me of those mezcal nights in Mexico actually. That raw, almost petrol-like edge mixed with the peated malted barley really hits you. Then it opens up weirdly nice - suddenly getting these brine and oyster notes, almost like standing at a coastal fish market. Sardines on a grill, that kind of vibe. But wait, underneath all that wildness there's something... crystal clear? Like the smoke just lifts and you get these gorgeous passion fruits and williams pears coming through. Proper tropical sweetness cutting through the murk. Honestly it's immaculate in how it balances. One minute you're chewing on seawater and char, next minute it's all juicy fruit. Mental whisky this, proper challenge but so rewarding. 🥃
