尾韵很长,leaves as usual, big liquorice 的味道慢慢浮现,还带着 more tobacco 和 fresh almonds。 minerals 和 touches of black olives 让它特别 stylish。 scary strength 是真的,但 swimms well!我用 pipette 加了几滴水,简直是 absolutely perfect with water。最后,忍不住又加了 exactly three drops of lemon juice, citrus 的酸度把它点亮了,teas 的香气也出来了。 超级 complex, really delivers。🥃

Popped this open last night and blimey, the strength is scary – it’s a proper monster that needs a little time to settle. The nose is really shy, that high strength makes it shy, almost like it’s hiding from you. Quick water, though… from quite some pipette work, and suddenly it starts to open. It swims well, goes from straw colour to all these layers. The mouthfeel is huge, extremely oily but no odd oils – just very stylish and coating. Big liquorice hits first, like a liquorice liqueur at cask strength. Then there’s touches of black olives, fresh almonds, and a lovely earthiness. It’s got a notch sugary and grassy thing going on, citrus and fab zestiness coming through, marmalades even, but certainly isn’t acetic – maybe a wee touch of white vinegar that just brightens everything up. Hints of oily rum Jamaica-style, with a feeling of three drops of lemon juice lifting it. And then more tobacco, teas, leaves as usual, and minerals. There’s a lot of complexity here, from earths to that grassy edge, but no soap, no plasticine at all. With a splash of water it’s absolutely perfect – the power is still there, but it turns into this very complex malt that’s strangely easy-going. Superb, just superb. 🥃

Blimey, this dram's got a lovely warm kick. 😋 Starts sweet, like honey and vanilla, then hits you with a bit of spice and oak. The finish is long and smoky, really cosy on a cold night. 🔥 Sometimes I get hints of fruit too, maybe some apple or pear. Overall, it's a proper treat for the tastebuds! 👌
