Blimey, this dram’s got a right proper smoky punch – hits you like a Laphroaiggy kick but with a weird twist. There’s this nice green tea lurking in the background, like someone brewed a cuppa and left it to sit too long. Very fine texture, mind, but it’s got spearmint dancing about, and those peated pears are proper sneaky – sweet at first, then boom, smoke. Young peated Benriach, maybe? Feels a bit mainland than islands, but that 10% ex-Islay whisky gives it a salty tang. A bit of concrete dust and burnt candles in there, which sounds odd, but it works a treat. The finish is medium, and there’s a whisper of plums and smoked bananas – odd combo, but not unpleasant. Gets a little simple when you dilute it, though. A splash of water makes it feel like it doesn’t swim too well, but hey, that’s half the fun, innit?

Ooh, that’s a proper peaty sip—like biting into a ripe pear that has rolled through a bonfire. The smoke’s got this gauzy edge, not too heavy, just enough to make you cough a bit if you’re not careful 😅 Then there’s this oddly soothing earthiness, like walking through Birnie Moss after the rain. The spearmint sneaks up on you later, mixed with a whiff of iodine—kinda medicinal but not in a bad way. And that green tea in the background? Bloody lovely, keeps it from getting too wild. The colour’s a deep gold, almost like candlelight flickering through old church windows. Finish’s medium, not too long but just enough to leave you wanting another. Gets a bit simpler if you add water, but straight it’s got this little pepper kick that works a treat.

Deep gold in the glass, quite cosy straight away. I get plums, pears, a bit of smoked banana, then that simple peat comes through pretty firmly. There’s a dusty concrete thing, some iodine and burning candle wax, but also a nice wee green tea note in the back. Finish is medium, with spearmint and mint gum hanging about. Add water and it gets a touch plain, so I’d keep it neat tbh 😊

嗯，这杯酒是那种很深的金色。首先闻到的是比较单纯的泥煤味，但不算太冲，慢慢能感受到更多的梨子香气。 喝起来居然有点梨子味被泥煤裹着的感觉，挺奇妙的。后调里真的有一丝薄荷口香糖留下的清凉感，还有淡淡的薄荷脑。中间好像尝到了一点烟熏香蕉和李子，背景里若有若无地飘着点不错的绿茶香。 酒体很细腻，虽然泥煤是主角，但整体喝着挺柔和的。还能找到一点碘味，和几乎感觉不到的细微胡椒感。收尾是中等长度，最后嘴里还留着点那种清凉感。 加点水后，味道会变得更简单一些，不太适合加太多水。闻着隐约有点蜡烛燃烧过的气息。总的来说，是种挺有趣、挺平衡的体验，就是描述起来有点绕口 😄

Ooh, that's a proper dram, that. 🥃 Goes down smoothish, a bit of a kick right at the end like a friendly nudge. I get honey, maybe some pear? And a sort of... toasty, woody thing that lingers. Prolly be good with a wee bit of water. Makes ya feel all warm inside. 🔥😊
