Right then, first nose is just massive - like walking into an old library with sandalwood shelves, then suddenly there's a hint of green oak and a bit of incense. Honestly, it's exceptional. First sip is all jammy figs and dates, but not cloying - more like a rich, fruity sandwich with a thin spread of old balsamic vinegar. Then it gets interesting, sort of nervous and spicy, with a tad bitter edge like the best pipe tobaccos. The mouthfeel is pretty unbeatable - not too thick, more like almond oil. There's a touch of peonies and eucalyptus cutting through, which is really refreshing. Aftertaste is long and rich, with coffee and Grisons meat coming through, almost like dried beef. A little Jaegermeister vibe too. No flaw here, it's a notch narrower than some heavyweights but that lemon note keeps it lively. 🥃

Poured this one tonight, and blimey, what a dram. Dark amber color, no flaw to speak of. On the nose, I'm getting coffee and figs straight away, with a jammy mix of raisins and dates. There's this incredible complexity – hints of pipe tobacco, really the best pipe tobaccos, and a touch of sandalwood incense. Tasting it, oh, it's astounding! Spicy lemon cuts through, with chocolate and prunes underneath. Not cloying at all, very elegant. I detect a tad bitter edge, maybe from old balsamic vinegar or something, and a nervy energy to it all. Peonies come to mind faintly, along with leather cream and almond oil. The aftertaste is long and pretty unbeatable, with Menthol and eucalyptus freshness, plus dried beef and Grisons meat savory notes. Exceptional stuff. 😊

Blimey, poured a glass and it’s this lovely dark amber colour. First whiff is sandalwood and incense, kind of like an old chapel, then you get these deep, sweet notes of prunes, figs, and raisins. It’s complex, right? 🤔 Taste-wise, it’s rich but not too thick, which is a win. There’s that crème de menthe freshness, maybe a bit of lemon zest cutting through, and then you get these leather cream and best pipe tobacco notes that just hang around. A little whisper of coffee and a touch of old balsamic vinegar-like tang keeps it interesting. The finish is long and warming, with a hint of dried beef and a slightly nervous, menthol-cool finish. It’s not cloying at all, and there’s a sort of elegant, massive depth to it. Honestly feels pretty unbeatable. No flaws I can find. 🥃✨

Quite cosy, honestly. Bit of honey, oak, dried fruit and a wee peppery kick 🥃 Feels warm and mellow, with a slightly smoky finish. Nice for a slow evening.

Soft and warming, with a bit of honey, oak and dried fruit coming through. Feels cosy rather than punchy — a wee peppery tingle at the end 😊 Slighly smoky too.
