I.W. Harper 1946 Bourbon Whisky

In the late 19th century, American entrepreneur Isaac Wolfe Bernheim and his brother Bernard established the I.W. Harper bourbon brand. Within years, it garnered widespread acclaim—securing a gold medal at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair and becoming a coveted spirit during Prohibition. The brand even achieved cinematic fame with a featured appearance in the James Bond film 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service.' As the 20th century progressed through waves of distillery consolidations, I.W. Harper was ultimately acquired by Diageo. For over a decade, distribution of this distinguished bourbon has been strategically limited in Japan and other Asian markets. © Whisky Magazine
