Lovely dark amber dram, quite sherried and chocolaty straight away, with prunes, walnut wine and a bit of chocolate sauce. There’s a funny tang too, like balsamic and bitter orange, plus strong coffee and tobacco. Hardly any smoke, just a wee coastal edge and a soft menthol lift. Finishes long, bittersweet, a touch dusty and old-fashioned in a nice cosy way 🙂
