Whiskyspace Notes 1643

Very enjoyable dram, honestly. Quite malty and a bit waxy, with little whiffs of fern and fresh mint drifting about 🌿 I get grapefruit fruitiness, speculoos sweetness, then it turns earthier, with liquorice and a peppery kick hanging around. A genuinely excellent surprise.

Right, had a dram of this the other night – brilliant stuff! First thing I noticed was that lovely waxy texture, coats the glass so nicely. There's a bit of ginger spice that wakes you up, then comes this fresh minty thing... almost like a hint of spearmint. Loads of citrus, grapefruit zest mostly, and that honeydew melon sweetness is spot on. Funny, it reminds me a bit of a dry, crisp white wine upfront, but then it gets earthier – like walking through a forest after rain, that humus note coming through. It's got that proper complex spirit thing going on, layers keep coming. Strikes me as rather more ‘Highlands’ than ‘Speyside’ in character, if that makes sense. Top notch malt whisky, honestly. And the best part? I don’t think it’s expensive for what you get. Hurray! 🥃

Just had a sip of this one – porridge and Muesli vibes hit me first, earthier than I expected. A hint of liquorice, and the finish is long, lingering nicely. Feels more Highlands than Speyside, you know? Texture is waxier, with a ginger kick. Plus, plus, plus – it's rich with honeydew and apple notes. Citrusy too, and the nose has the same flavours. Beautifully waxy mouthfeel, very complex spirit. A little cough syrup touch, almost like white wine. Honestly, I don’t think it’s expensive for such top-notch malt whisky – hurray! 😊 Makes me want to buy this bottle. Also, notes of humus, mint, and grass, more phenolic than its bros. 🥃

Blimey, just had a dram and wow, it's got that muesli vibe with a little cough syrup thing going on? Citrusy and more phenolic than its bros for sure. Same flavours as the nose – complex and rich. I get humus, apples, porridge, even a bit of liquorice. It's waxier than most, beautifully waxy in fact. Hurray! 🎉 Plus, notes of ginger and white wine, with honeydew too. For a top notch malt whisky, I don’t think it’s expensive. A touch of grass at the end. Proper good stuff. 😊

Warm and a bit spicy, with a soft honeyed feel 🍯 Bit of oak, wee touch of smoke, and a cosy finish. Quite easy to sit with on a chilly evening.
