Whiskyspace Notes 1507

Just cracked open a dram on a quiet evening — bit of a treat after a long day, you know how it is. First thing I notice is this lovely fruit purée vibe, almost like someone's blended a load of stone fruits together. There's a proper honeyed sweetness sitting behind it too, which I wasn't expecting at all 🍯 But then it shifts — there's definitely a 'dirty' side to it, something almost basaltic and mineral, like wet slate after rain. Slightly salty note pops up too, almost briny. Oddly enough it reminds me of a good white beer, that kind of yeasty complexity. The lighter citrus keeps things from getting too heavy, which I quite appreciate. There's this tiny touch of cream cheese on the finish that's just... bizarre but strangely works? Medium length on the finish, not overly long but it lingers enough to make you want another sip. Imperial in its presence if that makes sense — it demands a bit of attention without shouting about it. Honestly, this one's a thinker. Not a casual pour, more of a "sit down and actually taste it" kind of whisky. Really enjoyed the layers though — fruity, complex, a little bit grubby round the edges. Just how I like them 😊
