Just poured a dram, looks full gold in the glass, a hint of polish on the rim. First sniff brings broken branches and stems, a whiff of herbal teas and a touch of bean curd – oddly comforting. On the palate there’s fruitiness discreet, like toffee apple and orange peel, with green bananas and banana skin adding a sappy edge. A bit of pine resin and resinous feel, plus a splash of rooibos and hawthorn, almost like sitting among old books and papers, old furniture, fabric. The tannicity hasn't won the war, it’s tidy, not excessive. Aftertaste remains rather fresh, with a whisper of candyfloss and a putty and oil paint note, finishing with a little miracle of moshi and hibiscus. Welcome to the fair! 🥃🍎🍊🍌
