Poured a dram, deep amber colour, first sniff hits chocolate cake and dried fruits, a touch of orange zest and a drop of orange blossom water. On the palate it’s rich and a bit drier, with walnuts, black raisins, a hint of tar and shoe polish, plus a big, sharp sherry monster vibe—close to the OB. There’s rancio, a little aniseed, black pepper and a lingering aftertaste of fruitcake and orange liqueurs, finishing long with a whisper of old armagnac and cognac. No sulphur, just pure enjoyment 😄.

Aye, this one's a real treat. The first nose hits you with this deep amber richness – no sulphur here, just proper sherry goodness. It’s full of dried fruits, black raisins and Oranges dancing around, with a hint of Zests and aniseed that’s almost like an old armagnac. The palate’s less rounded, a bit sharp, but in a way that works – big and sharp sherry monster energy, maybe even a touch of shoe polish in the background. There’s a drop of orange blossom water mixing with the black pepper and cognac, giving it this layered thing. The finish is long, excellent, and it’s close to the OB profile – think fruitcake and chocolate cake with a splash of Schweppes to cut through the sweetness. Proper dram for the evenings when you’re puffing on cigars and chatting by the fire.

There's a proper middle-aged sherry monster here, big and bold, but somehow less rounded than you'd expect. The finish is excellent, long and dry, with this almost shoe polish-like tang lingering. Reminds me of old armagnac or cognac, but sharper, more tar-like in the background. A drop of orange liqueur sweetness plays around, but it's got that black pepper kick too, keeping things lively. Not your usual fruitcake – more like a chocolate cake with walnuts and a twist of bitterness. Proper dram for a chilly evening, that's for sure. 🥃

🔥 First sip hits ya with a proper smokey punch, like a bonfire on a chilly night. Then the sweetness comes thru—honey, maybe dried fruits? 🍯 A bit spicy too, not too much, just enough to keep ya interested. And that oakiness... lovely, like a well-worn leather armchair. Finish is long, warm, sticking around. Nice one.
