Just had a dram that reminded me of a sunny orchard – sweet apples and a hint of coconut, with a splash of warm milk and a dash of spices. There’s also a weirdly waxy feel, almost like paraffin, and a mineral edge that makes it taste a tad schizophrenic, like fruit salad meets soot. A touch of bags of vanilla and barley sugar lingers, finishing rather long and a bit austere, yet somehow very funny and interesting dram 😄

Well, this is a right proper treat, isn't it? First thing that hits you is how incredibly easy and fresh it is. Just lovely garden fruits and those little green apples – very clean and vibrant. 🍏 Then you get this lovely, creamy sweetness coming through, like a proper custard or a slice of warm brioche. It's got that comforting muesli vibe, but all dressed up with some posh marzipan and barley sugar. Really fruity, like Pineapple drops from the sweet shop! 🍍 It's a bit funny, there's this nervous grassiness underneath, but it's not a bad thing. Gives it a bit of zing. Feels very much like one of those unsherried Speysiders, all bright and not weighed down by the wood. The finish is surprisingly long for how easy-going it is, with that sugary barley sugar note just hanging around. Stellar stuff, really. A bit of white wine crispness at the end. Just a gorgeous, fresh dram.

Blimey, this one’s a proper oddball. Starts off all austere and earthy, like licking a damp stone, then bam—tropical fruit salad with guava and coconut, almost like a Turkish delight melted in warm milk. There’s a waxy, almost paraffin note that’s a bit anti-sexy, but then it flips to sweet apples and barley sugar, with a whiff of lemon and wood spices. Finishes long, with a hint of bitter walnut skin and a dusting of flour. Very funny and interesting dram, this. 😅

Well, this is a right funny one. Absolutely schizophrenic in the best way, honestly 😅 First sip you get all this sweet apples and Turkish delights, almost like warm milk with bags of vanilla. Really lovely stuff. Then suddenly it flips – quite austere, mineral notes come through, even some soot and paraffin. Got that gravel and flour thing going on too, which is... interesting? The fruit side's a proper fruit salad though. Western garden fruits, some tropical ones like guava, lemon zest, apple peeling. Fresh walnuts and that bitter walnut skin at the back. Bit of coconut creeping in. Then there's this medicinal edge with wood spices, very waxy mouthfeel – almost anti-sexy but you just can't stop sipping it 🤷‍♂️ Finish is rather long, barley sugar and marshmallows lingering nicely. Genuinely feels like two whiskies in one sometimes. Can't quite work it out but I keep reaching for the glass. Very funny and interesting dram, this one.

Well, this one's quite a ride, honestly. 😄 First impression is a bit austere, almost medicinal, with this curious paraffin and soot note. But then it opens up into something totally different – like a burst of tropical fruits, guavas and a real fruit salad kind of vibe. Sweet apples and lemon peel come through too. There's something almost schizophrenic about it, like two whiskies in one. You get that waxy, mineral side with some earthy and gravelly notes, then it flips to this sweeter profile. Loads of vanilla, some marshmallows and Turkish delights popping up. I even get a whiff of fresh walnuts and a bit of bitter walnut skin. The finish is rather long, with wood spices and this lingering taste of barley sugar and warm milk. Bags of coconut and a hint of gold. Quite a funny and interesting dram, I must say. Not your typical easy sipper, but it keeps you guessing. 🥃
