Took a sip and was hit straight away by overripe peaches and a handful of sultanas, almost like a warm fruit cobbler. There’s a whisper of gooseberries and tiny berries dancing around the edge, and a subtle sage note that makes it feel a touch herbal. The malt is nice and waxy, deeper than I’d expect, with a hint of mirabelle‑like stone fruit adding a bit of brightness. I can’t quite see why the cognac influence was added – it feels a little unnecessary, more like a white‑wine finish that tries to be clever. Still very good, but I’d probably go back to a straight Ord, natural style next time. 😊

Definitely got that ripe peaches and a bit of sultanas thing going on, almost like a fruit salad 🍑. It's sweet, a touch waxy, with a nice malty depth. There's a hint of something herbal, maybe a bit of white grape or even a faint cappuccino-like note. Honestly though, I'm not sure the cognac cask finish was needed. The base spirit feels good, but that extra layer of sweetness, like overripe stone fruits, kind of takes over. It's a pleasant pour, very good even, but I think I'd just prefer the original on its own. The combination feels a bit... superfluous. Like adding syrup to an already sweet breakfast tea.

Bit of a mixed dram for me. I get peaches, sultanas and a splash of white wine straight away, with gooseberries and small berries poking through. There’s a nice waxy, deeper maltiness underneath, even a wee cappuccino note, but the cognac fruit feels like it’s nicking the spotlight a bit. Medium finish, slightly herbal, maybe sage. Pleasant enough 🙂

This one's got quite a few layers going on. There's a soft, waxy feel with a lovely deeper maltiness at its core... reminds me a bit of barley syrup. On the nose, I'm getting white wine, gooseberries, and these little overripe peaches. It's a little more herbal on the tongue, maybe a touch of sage, with sultanas and small berries coming through. Quite like a cappuccino finish, mixed with peaches and mirabelles. Medium weight overall, very pleasant for an evening sip 🤔

Right, just had a sip of this blend. First thing I pick up is a cappuccino note, with a few sultanas floating about. There's a little sage too, which adds something different. But honestly, I'm not too sure this mixing was necessary – like, Ord and Cognac together feels like a very unnecessary combination, you know? It does have this perfect, waxy texture and a deeper maltiness that's quite pleasant. Very good, but I'd rather have Ord al natural, to be honest. Gooseberries come through, and I wish there were more mirabelles. The cognac's peaches and sultanas would tend to steal all the light, though; you get peaches and barley syrup in the end, but the Cognac part overshadows things a bit. 🤔
