Expert analysis and tasting impressions
Right, poured a wee bit in the glas 🥃. Bit chily out, this hits the spot. Nose is lovly, hint of vanila and smoak 🍯. Taste worms the throat nicely🔥, realy smooth. Sweet like hunny, ye know? Finish lingers... proper nice. Another dram tonite 😌.
Ooh, right then! 🥃 Nose first – get this lovely hit of vanilla and honey, sorta like a fresh biscuit, innit? Maybe a bit of orange peel in there too, zesty. Taste-wise, it’s proper smooth. Get some toffee, a whisper of cinnamon spice... and aye, there’s a wee bit of that smoky char at the end, like a distant bonfire. 🌫️ Finish is warm and hangs about nicely. Yeah, quite a decent pour that, makes you want another sip. 👍
Mothecombe Notes 🥃 Nose: Dark chocolate, leather, tobacco, some spice. Quite complex, like a proper fireside dram. Palate: Smooth and warming. Butterscotch, dried fruit, orange peel coming through. Really nice mouthfeel 👌 Finish: Long and warming. Gentle smoke, hints of coffee and malt. Lingers nicely, proper good stuff 😊 Goes down easy, quite warming. This is one of those you'd sip slowly on a cold evening. Really lovely, can't complain about this at all. Smoke and cream working together, just the ticket 👍 Dried fruit and butterscotch hanging about at the end, quite persistent. Really satisfying dram this, makes you want another sip. Good warming finish, quite nice. Not too heavy, not too light, just right. Would recommend this one, proper whisky that. 🥃✨
Blimey, this one's proper smoky! 🥃 Getting some fruity notes too, like apples or pears. A bit of honey sweetness in the finish. Quite smooth, init? Really enjoyed it! 😊
Oh, alright then. Right, sniff first... 🔥 It's like, wood smoke, ya know? Mixed with a bit of honey. 👃 First sip. 🥃 Crikey, it's proper warming! A bit spicy, like cinnamon. 💥 And then... aye, there's this lovely toffee sweetness comin' through. Sticky. Hmm, it’s got a bit of a kick at the back of the throat, but in a good way. 😤 Then it mellows out, get all creamy and like... dark chocolate? Aye, defo dark choc. 🍫 Finish is long. Leaves this nice woody, almost minty feel. Makes you wanna take another sip, innit. 👍 It’s solid, this one. Really solid.
Alright so just tried this one and honestly it's proper lovely 👌 Nose: Immediately hit with vanilla and caramel, like walking into a sweet shop. Then there's this gentle smokiness underneath, not too heavy, quite pleasant actually 🍯 Palate: Oh blimey it's smooth. Got some dark fruit - plums and such, maybe a bit of dried apricot. There's honeycomb and butterscotch too. Quite rich but not heavy-handed, you know? Just balanced nicely ✨ Finish: Hangs about for a good while with some warm spice. Touch of oak and vanilla cream. Very moreish Overall: Really well put together, all the flavours just work together init. Would happily have another 🥃 Not too peaty but enough smoke to keep it interesting. Cheers!
Oh wow, that nose is just... 🔥 Smokey and sweet, like a campfire with honey drizzled over it. Gets you right in the feels. First sip? Bit of spice, then boom – loads of fruity, juicy notes. Like... baked apples and a hint of orange peel. But then there's this lovely, deep warmth. Like a cozy blanket for your insides. 🍯 The finish is long, warming. You can really taste the wood, a bit of leather, and this lovely, lingering sweetness. Proper autumn evening dram, that. Warm and comforting, aye. Just lovely.
Just tried this whisky – smoky notes hit ya straight away, like a toasty bonfire. 🔥 Tastes of honey and a bit of spice, real smooth. 😋 Finishes long, warms ya up nicely. 🥃
