Wow, okay. The first thing that hits me is this... incredibly rich nose. Loads of dark chocolate and walnut cake, almost like opening an old suitcase that hasn't been opened for fifty years, full of old books and mothballs. 🤔 But then there’s this lovely, sweet layer, like orange squash and lavender sweets in the background. A little touch of rubber or wax, but it feels like an asset, not a flaw. Taking a sip, it’s even more chocolatey – bars of chocolate melting, mixed with marzipan. There’s a mineral oil richness, maybe a hint of patchouli. Truly lovely and unusual. The finish leaves a waxy coating, some more walnuts yet, and yes, a fleeting metallic note, like coins. It’s rather poetic, this one. Incomparably better for having all these quirks.
