I had a dram of this last evening, and the nose was almost perfect – really got those whiffs of hot toasts and vanilla fudge, with a nice touch of orange cake. On tasting, it's drier with tea-ish notes, fresh walnuts, and some butterscotch, along with herbs and a bit of leafy character; the smokiness is obvious too. Light honey sweetness but feels a tad weakish, lacking depth and fruits. The finish is short and rather thin, making it simpler overall. It's very well composed, not bad at all, and the colour is a lovely gold. Still, while very nice, it's nice but not in the same league anymore. 👍

Right, this whisky's got a real nice nose, hints of fruit and a bit of smoke. On the palate, it's smooth with a touch of sweetness. Really goes down well. 😊

Rich and smooth, yeah? Like... velvet with a bit of smoke, innit? 🥃🔥 Vanilla, maybe some chocolate too. A right proper sipper. 👍 Reet good, that. Really warming on a cold night. 😋 Aye, gets better with each sip. Creamay.
