Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right, had a wee dram tonight. 🥃 Colour is lovely gold. Nose is proper lovely, hint of sherry and maybe some orchard fruits. 🍎 Palate warms you up, bit o' spice like cinnamon or clove. 🔥 Finish lingers quite a bit, sweet but not too much. Definatly one to share with mates down the pub. Smooth as anything. 👌

So I poured this one... 🥃 Nose is kinda apple-y? like baked apples with a bit of cinnamon, and some gentle smoke in the background. Smokey but not like a campfire, more like... distant bonfire embers. Taste-wise, it’s got a nice warmth without being harsh. I get some vanilla, a touch of honey, and then this woody, almost walnnt-y note comes through. There’s a bit of spice too—maybe nutmeg? Finish is medium, leaves a warm, slightly sweet aftertaste with a little lingering spice. Quite cozy, actually. 👍 Would sip again on a chilly evening. 🍂

Blimey, this whisky's got a lovely buttery feel, with some smoky hints and a touch of caramel. Really smooth going down, makes me want another sip! 🥃 Occasional note of fruitiness too, like dried apples or summat. A bit of a spicy kick at the end, but not overpowerin'. Cheers! 😊

Hmmm... that first sip hits like warm apple pie 🍯 with a dash of... is that honey? And then comes this lovely vanilla kick, kinda like custard but not too sweet. A little bit of spice at the end, maybe cinnamon? Feels like a hug in a glass 🥃

Hmm, getting a real kick of smoke n' peat on the nose 🔥. Like a campfire right at the back. Palate’s lovely though – sweet! Caramel, vanilla... maybe some stewed apple? 🍎 Little bit of cinnamon spice comes through too. Finish is long n' warming. Aye, it’s got that classic woody, slightly dry feel. Proper nice. 🥃 A good balance, that. Not too harsh.
