Just poured a glass — right away there's this lovely orange marmalade and heaps of Jaffa cakes on the nose. Got a sweet-and-salty touch too, with maple syrup and very dry raisins. Actually rather lovely. Sip it and there's apricot, praline, even a hint of aubergines? And a touch of menthol keeps it fresh. The pepper comes through later, with green walnuts lingering on. Old Matusalem sherry casks are obvious, and there's a leathery side and a hint of wood smoke. Finishes dry, with a certain elegance. Even without a cigar, it's quite pleasant. Not bad at all. 🥃
