Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

1#1

Right, this one’s a proper treat. 👃 Nose is all vanilla fudge, toffee apples, and a whiff of oak that’s just lovely. On the palate… 🍫 dark chocolate, dried fruits, and a warm wave of cinnamon and nutmeg. Tiny bit of coastal brine too, keeps it interesting. The finish? Lingers for ages, gentle smoke and a peppery tingle. Cracking dram, really hits the spot. Defo one to savour. 🥃

2#2

Aye, this dram's proper smooth, innit? Got that oak and vanilla going on, with a hint of peat smoke. A bit of honey sweetness makes it lush for a night by the fire. 🥃👍 Sometimes the flavour's a tad soft, like aye, it lingers nicely. Not too strong, just right. Cheers!

Right, just had a sip of this one. It's proper smokey with a hint of honey 🍯. Goes down smooth, maybe a bit of vanlla on the tongue. Cheers! 🥃

4#4

First sip, hits you with a nice smokyness, kinda like a cozy fireplace 🥃. Then comes vanilla and caramel, sweet and rich. There's a bit of honney and spice, makes it really enjoyble. Quite smooth, almost a touch of chocalate at the end. 😋 A bit of peatiness too, earthy-like. Really warms you up! 🥰

5#5

Blimey, this one's proper lovely. 🥃 First sip, get a big hit of that smoky oak. Like a campfire that's just been put out, you know? Then the sweetness comes through. Carmel, maybe a bit of dark fruit. Mid-palate is all about the spice. Not too much, just a gentle warmth, a bit of a kick. Underneath it all, there's this really smooth, creamy thing going on. Maybe vanilla? Or honey? Finish is long and warming. That smokiness lingers, but it's friendly. Leaves you with a sort of dried fruit taste. Can't put my finger on it. Overall, it's like a proper winter warmer. Rich, complex, but not shouty. Really more-ish. 👍
