Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

1#1

Right so, poured a bit earlier 🥃 Smells proper nice, hint of vanilla maybe? Taste hits warm... like fire in the chest 🔥 Sweet at first then gets a bit dry. Finish lasts quite awhile. Realy takes the edge off the day. Proper relaxing stuff innit 👍 Cheers to a quiet night 🥃

Alright, this one's got a real cozy warmth to it, kinda like a fireplace on a rainy day. 🌧️🔥 On the nose, I'm gettin' slite hints of dried fruits and a bit of that classic peatiness – not too overpowerin', just right. 🍂👃 Tastewise, it starts off smooth with a touch of honey, then comes through with some spiced notes, maybe a bit of cinnamon or nutmeg. 🍯🌶️ Finish is long and mellow, leavin' a warm glow in your chest – proper comforting stuff. 😊💪 Definitely one to sip slowly and savour the moment. 👌

3#3

Blimey, that first sip... a real burst of sweet honey and a bit of lemon zest, that. 🍋 Then it sort of settles into a lovely, warm vanilla and a touch of toasted oak. The finish is long and spicy, with a hint of dark chocolate that just lingers. Quite smooth, mind you. Just a proper hug in a glass on a chilly evening. 🥃

4#4

Ah, this whisky's somethin' else! 🥃 First off, the nose is all warm honey and a hint of vanilla – really comforting, innit? On the palate, it's sooth and creamy, with flavours of ripe fruit and maybe a touch of dark chocolate. There's a subtle smokiness that lingers, but it's not overpowerin'. The finish is long and warming, leavin' you with a pleasant oaky aftertaste. Proper lush, that! 😊 Sometimes I get a bit of spice kickin' in, but it all balences out nicely. Defo a dram for cozy eevnings.

5#5

Blimey, this whisky's proper smoky on the nose, like a bonfire with a bit of damp wood. Got some nuttiness in there too, maybe hazelnuts? And a sweetish aftertaste, kinda like caramel. Smooth enough for a wee dram after work. 🥃 Sometimes it leans a bit spicy, like cinnamon, but not too harsh. I reckon it's a decent pour for the price. 😌
