Blimey, this one’s proper unusual in a really nice variant kind of way, eh? 🥃 First nose hits you with that very fruity burst - overripe strawberries, blackcurrants, sweet cherries, even a little tang of orange marmalade and cake notes like nan’s Sunday bake leftover 🍰 Then there’s that red wine + malt whisky equation vibe, right? Port cask and bourbon cask giving it that quite sweet lovely sweetness, but wait there’s a spicy kick of green pepper and black pepper, even a little ginger zing that makes you go ‘oh nice’ 😮 Weirdly there’s these earthy bits too - potting soil, compost, barnyard note, even a hint of black truffle and used matchsticks? Don’t knock it till you try it, it works so well with the figs and the Campari bitter tang, pairs dead nice with a cigar too 🚬 Finish is medium length, leaves that leather note, a little ginger ale fizz on the tongue, no obvious peat which is a win for me. Proper weird but so good, I’d happily have a dram of this after work any day.

Gave this one a go last night and honestly, it's quite the unusual dram. First thing that hit me was this lovely sweetness — almost like orange marmalade mixed with maraschino cherries, very fruity indeed. There's a bit of a sangria vibe going on which threw me off at first but I quite liked it 🍷 Then came the funkier bits — potting soil, maybe a touch of compost, some leather. Reminded me a bit of an old cigar box my grandad used to keep. There's definitely something truffle-like lurking in there too, earthy and rich. The port cask influence is pretty obvious with all that dark fruit sweetness. And oddly enough, I kept getting this flash of used matchsticks — not in a bad way, just... different? Bit of ginger warmth on the finish, like ginger ale but boozier. A whisper of black pepper too, keeps things interesting. Medium length, fades out nicely without overstaying its welcome. All in all, feels like someone tried to solve the red wine meets malt whisky equation and came up with something rather creative. Not my everyday pour but I'd reach for it again on the right evening 🥃

Blimey, this one's a bit different in a fun way. First whiff is like walking past a bakery and a fruit market at the same time – seriously fruity, think strawberry jam and overripe cherries. On the palate it’s quite sweet, almost like a boozy sangria. There’s this definite strawberry and blackcurrant thing going on, with a touch of something like black truffle in the background? The finish has a weird but lovely hint of leather and dark chocolate cake. No smoke to speak of, which lets all those berry and port cask notes shine. It’s unusual but moreish. 😋 Makes me think of sitting outside a café with a good cigar. Very interesting pour.

Quite cosy, honestly. A bit of honey and soft fruit up front, then some gentle spice and oak warming through. Feels smooth, slightly smoky, and nicely mellow 🥃 Bit of a late-evening dram, easy to sip.

Oh blimey, this one's proper earthy innit? Like walking through a damp forest floor after rain 🍂 First sip hits ya with this kinda warm, spicy kick - maybe cinnamon or nutmeg? Then it mellows out into... what's that word... honey? Yeah, like the cheap honey ya get from the corner shop, not the posh stuff. A bit of woodiness too, like licking a pencil (not that I do that regularly mind 😅). And there's this faint smoky thing in the background - not like a bonfire, more like... smouldering leaves? Dead good with a drop of water tbh. Cracking dram for a cold evening.
