Whiskyspace Notes 2201

First sip hits me with a whiff of paraffin and leaking old Jag, like engine oil on a sunny garage floor. Then bergamot and a touch of mojito brightness cuts through, followed by earthy, chalky notes that get tighter as it opens. There's a luscious fruitiness underneath, almost like dried raisins, and a faint mentholy lemon zing at the back. Finish is long, with a smoky, almost burnt note and a whisper of salt and ashes, like crushed oyster shells on beach sand. Feels like unloading fat sooty from an old boat, but somehow still smooth. 😄
