The peat is bold but not quite overpowering, more earthy and a touch of salt, with wild lemon‑mint combos dancing on the palate. There's an almost oily mouthfeel, a hint of miso and a whisper of smoked charcuterie, finishing long and slightly less amped up than usual. Feels distinct from other peaty malts, style entirely its own – undeniably superb 🥃.

Blimey, this one's got a proper old-school vibe—like peeling back a dusty bottle from the '90s. There's a metallic tang right off the bat, mixed with something oddly cardboardy, but in a way that's weirdly charming. The peat's bold, yet not punch-you-in-the-face bold—just this quietly commanding power. I’m getting hints of citrus peels and wild lemon-mint combos, but also this earthy undertone that’s got a vaguely farmy quality. It’s lighter than I expected, almost waxier, with a whisper of smoked charcuterie and a touch of miso that’s hard to place. The finish is long, leaving behind these rooty notes that remind me of ginseng, and there’s this almost Brora-esque elegance to it. Stunningly so, actually. This dram hits you with a bold peat punch right off the bat, but then it takes this weird turn—a touch of salt, a faint sherry fino edge, and something startlingly earthy. It’s almost oily on the tongue, not quite like that classic Brora profile I’ve had before, but close enough to make me do a double-take. There’s a whisper of smoked charcuterie lingering, and the finish lingers long with these waxier, rooty undertones. I’m getting hints of miso and citrus peels, which feels oddly fresh, and a whisper of beeswax that’s hard to place. The abv’s a bit lighter than expected, but the power behind it is undeniably superb. Not sure what to make of the cardboardy note—it’s there, but in a way that’s almost charming. Pale gold in the glass, really clear ✨ Feels lighter than I expected, with soft oils and waxy citrus. There’s peat, but it’s earthy and rooty rather than heavy smoke — a wee farmy edge, touch of salt, maybe miso. Long finish, with mandarins, ginseng, and that dry fino-like nip. Quite distinctive.

Lovely warm dram 🥃 I get honey, vanilla and a bit of citrus first, then some gentle oak, spice and dried fruit. Feels smooth, cosy and slightly smoky, with a nice long-ish finish. Quite an easy sipper, tbh.
