Monkey Shoulder Batch 27 - The Original

Right then, had a dram of this earlier 🥃 Picked it up at the off licence last week. Nose is proper nice... hints of cedar wood 🌲 Palate is warm, sweetish like honey maybe. Finish is medium, leaves you wanting another sip. Didnt expect much but its quite smooth tbh. Goes down alot easier than I thought. Proper cozy for a rainy night 🌧️ Cheers!

Ah right, that whisky... feels like a cosy bonfire night, innit? 🔥 First there's this deep, smoky peat - not too sharp, more like embers glown'. Then a bit of honey and warm spice sneaks in, like cinnamon on apple pie. Finishes kinda dry and oaky, with a wee hint of chocolate? Lovely stuff for a chilly evening. 🥃

Right, had a dram of this one last night... First thing that hit me was this lovely warm spice 🍂 kinda like cinnamon toast but with a bit of honey thrown in. Really smooth actually, didn't expect that. Then there's this fruity bit... apple maybe? Or pear? Hard to tell but it's defintely there, subtle like. Some vanilla notes too, quite creamy realy. Finish is nice and long, get a bit of that woody oak flavour coming through. Maybe a tiny hint of smoke at the very end but nothing too heavy 👌 Not bad at all tbh, perfect for a quiet evening. Went down a treat with a bit of dark chocolate. Would definately have another glass! 🥃

This whisky's a proper delight! Sweet hony 🍯 with a smoky peat kick 🌫️, and a wee bit of frut and spice. Really smooth and warming. Cheers! 😊
