This dram's got a lovely nose right off the bat - think crystallised pineapples and apricot jam, that sweet Speyside character shining through. There's a zesty kick, maybe pink grapefruits, and a whisper of Sauternes-like richness. On the palate, it's not too heavy, just enough oakiness to keep things interesting. The herbal notes come through - sweet herbs and a touch of wormwood - but it stays clean, never overpowering. At around 25 years, it's mellow, a bit less punchy than some, but still gorgeously fruity with hints of plum pie and sultanas. The finish is gentle, not much happening anymore, but that's no bad thing. Smooth, rounded, and just a bit of that vin de paille sweetness lingering. Proper nice dram, actually. 🥃
