Golden in the glass, and it feels quite evolved straight away. I get old fruits, chutney, a bit of honey mead and chouchen, then this soupy, malty thing like meaty soup with paprika and a salty edge. There’s smoke too, but more coal than peat, which I rather like. Bit odd at times, not the easiest part, with gorse and pansies popping up, but the pleasure is intact 😊 Rather long, syrupy, and properly warming.
