Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right then, poured myself a wee dram 🥃. Nose is lovly, hints of smoke and dried fruit maybe? Like raisins or summat. First sip... warm going down. Smoth but got a bit of bite 🔥. Taste is rich, honeyish, little spice on the tongue. Finish lingers quite awhile. Makes you wanna sit by the fire. Proper beutiful stuff, realy. Cheers 🍻.

Just tried this whisky, and wow, the nose is full of smoke and honey 🍯🔥. On the palate, I get vanilla and caramel with a spicy kick. The finish is long and warming, with a bit of peat. Really enjoyed it! 🥃 Sometimes I pick up floral notes too, quite lovely. Definately one to savour. 😊

Right then, just had a cheeky bit of that new bottle. 🔥 First impression? Like proper burnt toast – you know, the good kind where it’s all crisp and nutty. Then a wave of warm cinnamon roll, all sticky and sweet. 🍪 There’s a touch of old leather in there too, like a favourite armchair. And right at the finish, a whisper of ripe pear, all juicy and fresh. 🍐 It’s got a lovely, long finish. Proper warming. A real slow sipper for a cold evening. Nice one.

Hm, that nose is proper smoky-sweet, innit? Like a cosy bonfire with a drizzle of toffee. 🔥 Got a lovely fruitinessy bit... maybe stewed apple? And defo some nuty notes. The wood comes through too, gives it a proper grown-up feel. Sip it slow... yeah, there's the vanilla and that sherry cask bit. Lingers nicely. 🥃 Aye, 9 years in the barrel did this one well. Solid dram.
