Strathclyde Old Particular 1987 27 Years Single Grain Whisky

Cheers mate! 🥃 Just cracked open a bottle for a quiet evening. The nose is brill, gives off a wee bit of smoky peat mixed with vanilla and ripe apples. Sweet spot on the palate, nothin’ harsh at all. Oaky finish warms ya properly, like a little campfire in the chest. Solid drop, wouldn’t mind another round 😄 Proper quality stuff.

A hint of dried fruit, figgy. 🍯 Palate: Oof, lovely. A bit of spicey ginger, then boom, a big wave of honey an' some nuttiness. Maybe walnut? Then this gentle smoke comes in, not like a bonfire, more like a distant campfire mixed with some heathery peat. 🔥 Finish: Fades away nice an' warm, leavin' a bit of dark chocolate an' a whiff of damp wood. Felt like it coated me throat proper well. Cracking stuff, could nose this all day. 😊 Spicey but not too much, like a good ginger cake. A right complex drop.
