Tasting Notes & Reviews
Expert analysis and tasting impressions
Right, so this whisky – first whiff, I get apples 🍎 and a bit of honey, like a proper orchard in autumn. On the tongue, it's smooth as anything, with a warm, spicy kick 🌶️ that lingers. Feels like a hug in a glass, init? 😊 Sometimes there's a hint of smoke, subtle-like, and a creamy finish. Dead lovely for a chilly evening. 👍 Oh, and it’s got that classic caramel note 🍯 that just works. No fuss, just nice drams. 🥃
Right, this whisky's got a lovely hot start, quite smoky with hints of oak and vanilla. The finish is long and spicy, with a touch of honey. Really warms you up on a dreich day! 😊 Favrit bit's the mossy undertone – makes it feel proper earthy. 👍
Well, the nose on this one's lovely. Got that strong vanilla and caramel hit straight off. Quite sweet. 🍯 Getting some baked apple and a bit of pear fruitiness too. Then a gentle oakiness comes through, with maybe a hint of dried fruit? Nutty, perhaps. On the palate, it's really smooth. The vanilla and honey lead again, with a nice warming spice – like a little cinnamon or ginger kick. A bit of that fruit character carries over. It's not overly smoky, just a subtle earthy note. The finsih is medium-length, sweet and gently spiced. Quite moreish, honestly. A nice easy drinker. 🥃
Creamy, malty, rich. Warm vanilla & oak notes linger. 🍯✨ T'uppers a bit spicy, finishes smooth. Really pleasant dram, innit? 🥃
