Jura 2008 12 Years Single Malt Whisky

Right so this one... 🥃 First thing I get is this lovely smokiness, like sitting by a proper fireplace on a cold evening. Quite warming init? Then there's honey and a bit of vanilla comin through, almost buttery realy. Some dried fruit notes too - raisins maybe? The finish has a nice spice to it, not too aggressive but definately there. Oaky and a bit earthy, like wet leaves on a forest floor 🍂 Goes down quite smooth, leaves this warm glow in your chest. Bit of caramel sweetness lingers. Honestly quite a complex dram for somethin so easy drinkin. Would go lovely with a square of dark chocolate I reckon 🍫 The peat's there but not overpowerin, which is proper nice.
