Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right, had a wee dram tonight. 🥃 Nose is proper smokey, like peat fire near the sea. 🌊 Taste... sweet vanila hit first, then some dark fruit kicks in. 🍇 Finish is long, warming. Makes you wana sit by the fire. 🔥 Bit peaty but not over the top. Lovly stuff.

Alright, so this one hits the nose with a proper waft of oatmeal and hay, then a wee tangy vinegar note creepin in—reminds me of sourdough. Palate’s well evened, smooth as, with the burn sittin quite low. Peat’s there, but gentle, melded with earthy loam and a bit of rye spice that tingles. You get a weirdly lovely umami whack too, almost meaty, then a creamy body and a touch of flinty minerality. Finish is a roll of port sweetness, a whisp of aniseed and—dunno if I’m mental—a faint eggy note, but not off-putting. Proper decent dram that, fair play. 🥃👌

Cracking wee dram, that! 🥃 Smooth as, with a lovely honey sweetness up front. Then get a bit of smoke, not too heavy mind. Hints of dried fruits and a touch of vanilla. Long, warm finish. Flavours just sort of linger, like. A proper well-balanced drop, really enjoy it.

Blimey, this whisky's nose is proper lovely – smells like golden syrup and a bit of apple. 🍯🍎 Taste-wise, it's smooth wiv some pear and a hint of spice. Really quaffable! 🍐 Finish is nice and long, leaves a warm glow wiv oak and smoke. 🔥 Cheers, mate! 🥃

Smokey peat with a hint of apple, kinda like a bonfire night 🎆. Gettin' some vanilla too, smooth like a Sunday mornin'. Citrus zing hits ya, then mellows into honey sweetness 🍯. Spicy oak at the end, warms ya right through. Loads of character, that one! Proper autumn dram 🥃🍂.

First off, the nose's got that lovely sweet vanilla and a hint of spice – quite inviting, really. 👃 On the palate, it's smooth with fruity notes and a touch of oak. Warms you right up, like a cozy blanket on a chilly evening. 🔥 Finish is long and gentle, with a smoky aftertaste that lingers nicely. Proper good sip! 😊 Sometimes, I get a bit of honey or dark chocolate coming through – makes it feel extra special. 🍫 Overall, a delightful dram for any whisky fan. Cheers! 🥃
