Caledonian 1974 40 Years Single Grain Whisky

# Whisky Tasting Notes Right so, first sip - im getting this lovely **honey an vanilla** vibe 🍯 Then theres a bit of **smokiness** creeping in, not too heavy like, more like a campfire in the distance 🔥 Mid palate - **dried fruits** init, maybe some raisins? And a wee touch of **spice**, proper warming on the tongue Finish is quite long, gettin some **oak** and a bit of **chocolatey** notes 🍫 overall very smooth, lovely dram for a cold evenin would deffo have again 👍

Nosed it and... ooh that's lovely 😍 Rich, smoky peat hit me straight away, then some sweet honey coming through. Little bit of vanilla there too, innit? Took a sip... wow. Proper warming, like sitting by a fire on a cold night 🔥 Got some dried fruit, maybe raisins? And a bit of chocolatey thing going on, very nice. Spicy kick at the end, maybe some ginger? Lingers for ages tbh. Can still taste it now 👌 Smooth as anything really. Not too harsh, just warming your chest up nicely. Love a good peaty dram on a saturday evening like this. Gets you in the mood for summat cozy 🥃 Would defo have another glass of this one. Reckon it'd be ace with a bit of dark chocolate on the side too

Nose: First hit of oak 🌳 and a bit of vanilla, like old books. Then some dried fruit comes through, raisins maybe. Palate: Smooth, a bit of honey 🍯 and some spice, cinnamon? Gets a lil’ smoky at the end, not a campfire, more like a distant candle. Finish: Medium. Leaves a warm, tingly feeling. Hints of dark chocolate 🍫 linger. Quite pleasant, really. Notes: Really grew on me. 👍
