Gave this one a proper try last evening, and honestly, it hit different. Starts off quite grassy and fresh, like walking through a wheat field. Then you get this lovely, honest bready thing – think fresh croissants and proper brioche dough. It's not sweet at all, far less so than your usual Scotch or bourbon. Dry, a bit austere even, with a crisp, almost white wine-like note. Apple peels there too. There's this interesting, slightly sour cream tang and a hint of something that reminds me of a poppadom, weirdly enough. A wee mineral note, like licking plaster, but in a fascinating, clean way. Really feels all-natural and unpolished. Loyal to its core character, I'd say. Medium-bodied, perfectly all right for a contemplative sip. 🥃
