Oh this one's quite lovely actually. First sip it's gently sweet, almost like those little fruit scones you'd grab at a tea room, with a drizzle of runny honey on top 🍯 There's something about the pear and apple notes that reminds me of a light, younger sauternes — got that white grape thing going on. A bit of custard creeping in too, like a warm apple crumble from the oven on a Sunday afternoon. The colour's proper pale straw, and honestly it drinks way easier than I expected. Almost too easy, you'd have to watch yourself with this one 😅 Getting some lemon peel right at the edges, and a touch of that yeasty, bready quality that turns into soft honey as it sits in the glass. Maybe a hint of those green bananas you'd see in the fruit bowl, plus gooseberries — quite orchard-y really. For something that feels quite light and elegant, there's a surprising richness underneath. Toasted cereal notes with a wee bit of caramel glaze, almost mead-like at times. Honestly wouldn't have guessed its age, feels a bit older than it actually is. Just a genuinely quaffable wee drop. The kind of dram you pour on a quiet evening and just enjoy without overthinking it. Pure easy pleasure 🥃
