Milk & Honey 2017 Single Malt Whisky

Milk & Honey (M&H) Distillery stands as Israel's pioneering whisky institution, founded in 2012 in the vibrant heart of Tel Aviv. This visionary project transformed a dream into reality by leveraging Israel's unique Mediterranean climate—characterized by hot, humid days and cool maritime nights—to create an accelerated yet complex maturation environment. The distillery employs a fusion of traditional Scottish methods with radical innovation, utilizing a copper pot still and experimenting with an unprecedented variety of cask types including ex-bourbon, STR (shaved, toasted, re-charred) wine casks, local Israeli wine barriques, rum barrels, and fortified wine casks. Their core portfolio features the 'Elements' series showcasing specific cask influences, the premium 'Apex' range representing their pinnacle expressions, and innovative limited editions that push boundaries. Despite being a newcomer, M&H has achieved remarkable international recognition, including multiple Double Gold medals at the World Spirits Competition, Category Wins at the World Whiskies Awards, and liquid gold accolades in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible. Positioned as a leading New World whisky pioneer, M&H Distillery embodies the convergence of passion, precision, and terroir-driven innovation, definitively proving that exceptional single malt whisky knows no geographical boundaries.
