Hellyers Road 2007 Single Malt Whisky

Hellyers Road Distillery, Australia's largest whisky distillery, is located in Burnie on Tasmania's pristine north coast. Named after Henry Hellyer, a pioneering surveyor who in 1825 charted the rugged Tasmanian wilderness and forged a path into the island's interior, the distillery embodies that same spirit of exploration and craftsmanship. Established in 1999 in the rolling green hills of Tasmania's hinterland, Hellyers Road has become a beacon of Australian whisky excellence. Visitors can tour the facility and ascend to the upstairs tasting room to sample their flagship single malt whisky, crafted exclusively from Tasmanian barley. The whisky presents a complex bouquet of fruit granola, butterscotch, coconut oil, and baking spices on the nose, leading to a palate that is elegantly spicy with a remarkably warm, smooth finish. Beyond their acclaimed single malts, Hellyers Road also produces a diverse portfolio of premium liqueurs, cementing their reputation as pioneers of the Australian spirits industry.
