Despite these delays, William Grant & Sons maintains robust performance, with Glenfiddich, The Balvenie, and Hendrick's Gin collectively generating £1.304 billion in revenue. As the world's best-selling single malt Scotch whisky brand (168 million bottles sold in 2018), Glenfiddich's expansion necessitates meticulous quality preservation, fully justifying the extended timeline. Current Production Infrastructure: • 10 stainless steel full-lauter mash tuns • 32 Douglas fir washbacks with fermentation cycles of 68-72 hours • Two still houses comprising 11 wash stills and 20 spirit stills • Direct gas firing utilized in Still House No. 2 • 2018 production metrics: 68 mashes weekly, yielding 13.65 million liters of new make spirit Expansion Plans: Construction is underway for a new mash house and still house.
