Eagle Rare 17 años Bourbon Whiskey

Eagle Rare is a distinguished single barrel bourbon whiskey produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, and owned by the Sazerac Company. Launched in 1975 by master distiller Charles L. Beam while under Seagram's ownership, the brand was acquired by Sazerac in 1989 along with the George T. Stagg Distillery, which was subsequently renamed Buffalo Trace. The flagship expression is a 10-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV), renowned for offering exceptional aged character at an accessible price point. Each bottle is drawn from an individual barrel, bearing its unique number and rick location, though it notably lacks the "single barrel" designation on its label—a subtle quirk that has become part of its mystique. Crafted using Buffalo Trace's low-rye #1 mash bill (estimated at less than 10% rye), Eagle Rare delivers a complex profile of toffee, orange peel, herbs, honey, leather, and oak. The brand also includes the highly allocated Eagle Rare 17 Year Old, part of the prestigious Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. Having won numerous Double Gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Eagle Rare is celebrated by enthusiasts as one of the best value propositions in premium bourbon, often compared to whiskies twice its price.
