Cotswolds Distillery was founded in 2013 by Dan Szor in Stourton, at the heart of the Cotswolds region in England. The brand was born from Szor's passion for single malt whisky and his desire to create a world-class English whisky. The distillery's inaugural release—its first single malt whisky—garnered widespread critical acclaim, earning a prestigious Gold Medal at the World Whiskies Awards in 2019.
