Angel's Envy Whisky de Centeno

Angel's Envy is a premium bourbon whiskey brand founded in 2010 by legendary Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson and his son Wes Henderson in Louisville, Kentucky. The brand distinguishes itself through its innovative finishing process, aging its whiskey in port wine barrels after initial maturation in new charred American oak barrels. This secondary finishing imparts distinctive fruit and spice notes that complement the traditional bourbon character. Lincoln Henderson, previously the Master Distiller for Brown-Forman where he created Woodford Reserve and Gentleman Jack, brought decades of expertise to this family venture. The brand's name references the notion that angels take their share (the angel's share) of whiskey to evaporation during aging, but this whiskey is so good it makes the angels envious. The flagship product is Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, finished in port barrels, bottled at 86.6 proof (43.3% ABV). The distillery opened its own production facility in downtown Louisville in 2016, complete with a visitor center and rooftop bar, becoming a popular destination on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The brand has since expanded its portfolio to include rye whiskey finished in Caribbean rum casks and a cask strength bourbon expression.
