The brand takes its name from a 13th-century fortress on the Isle of Skye, perched on a cliff east of Loch Bay beside the Torabhaig Distillery, a site visited by thousands annually. Local legend tells of brutal medieval battles fought here, with fallen warriors' ghosts said to drift through Loch Bay's mists, forever shrouding the island in phantom fog.
