The Spot series of Irish whiskeys uses colors to denote maturation ages: Blue for 7 years, Green for 10 years, Yellow for 12 years, and Red for 15 years. Yellow Spot, originally discontinued in the 1950s, was revived in 2012 by Mitchell & Son. It is produced in limited quantities of 500 cases annually.
