George Dickel is a historic Tennessee whiskey distillery located in Cascade Hollow, Tennessee, founded in 1870 by German immigrant George A. Dickel. As a true Tennessee whiskey, it undergoes the Lincoln County Process of charcoal mellowing through sugar maple charcoal before aging, giving it exceptional smoothness. The distillery maintains the Scottish spelling 'whisky' in honor of its founder's heritage. Currently owned by Diageo, George Dickel produces several acclaimed expressions including No. 8, No. 12, and Barrel Select, positioning itself as a premium, craft-oriented alternative to its larger Tennessee neighbor.
