Moutai is a prestigious Chinese baijiu, recognized globally as the gold standard of Jiangxiang (sauce-aroma) style spirits. Crafted exclusively in Maotai Town, Guizhou Province, this premium daqu baijiu employs traditional solid-state fermentation and distillation techniques passed down through generations. Its remarkably complex bouquet presents intense, persistent aromatics reminiscent of soy sauce, fermented grains, and toasted nuts, with an elegant interplay of umami and subtle baking spices. On the palate, it delivers exceptional richness, depth, and a famously long, warming finish. As one of China's 'Three Famous Liquors' (Mao Wu Jian)—alongside Wuliangye and Jiannanchun—Moutai represents the pinnacle of Chinese distilling artistry and holds UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage recognition for its craftsmanship.
