Gifu Whisky originates from the Gifu Midai Distillery, nestled at the confluence of the Kamanashi and Midai Rivers in the upper Fuji River basin. This historic site, once plagued by floods, was protected by the Shingen-zutsumi levee built by legendary warlord Takeda Shingen.
